Battery Hazards for the Fire Service: Micromobility, EV’s and BESS
This program will cover the hazards presented to fire service personnel by storage and use of equipment and vehicles powered by lithium-ion batteries.
Lithium-Ion batteries have become commonplace in today’s society. As a result, the fire service, including investigators, are interacting with them on a regular basis. This program will cover the fire hazards presented by the batteries in micromobility devices, EV’s, and Battery Energy Storage Systems. Best practices from; NFPA, UL, and FDNY will be covered during the program.
